The Best Amazon Prime Deals for Any Well-Rounded Traveller

Sunday, 14 July 2019
Whether you like it or not, Amazon Prime Day has basically turned into a second Black Friday. The US and other parts of the world have become almost spoilt with Amazon's ability to get our stuff to us quickly. So when another great sale comes along, most people would be crazy to miss out.

If you're anything like me, you do not enjoy spending full price on items. I'm the person who goes to the markets around closing time to get discounted groceries, uses Groupons if I want to eat out, and waits till there are incredible sales for any travel-related item I may need.

Travel stuff rarely goes on sale, but luckily Amazon has got it covered! Here are some of our favourite deals, Amazon Prime Day has:

1. Audible Memberships
Depending on where you are in the world you'll either get 3 months free or 3 months at $4.95. Both are ridiculously killer deals as usually an Audible membership can cost anywhere from $14-$16/month.

I personally love listening to audiobooks whilst driving or on the plane. It is a great way to pass the time for any traveller!

2. Kindle Unlimited
Prefer to read the old fashioned way? During Prime Days, Kindle is offering a killer deal of 3 months free, then $13.99/month. The only thing left for you to do will be to pull up a beautiful beach chair, sit back, relax, and read as many books as you please!

3. Amazon Kindle
Tired of carrying around a number of books on your trip? Or have you had to sacrifice a good book due to weight restrictions? Nows the time to grab yourself a Kindle. Carrying this lightweight device will allow you to bring as many books as you'd like on your travels!

Whenever I have the ability to actually relax on holiday, reading is my favourite activity. Having a Kindle allows me to immerse myself in books.

4. Noise Cancelling Headphone
One of the most annoying things that can happen whilst travelling is the inability to hear your music, podcast, or book because of outside noise. Most earbuds just don't do an adequate job cancelling out background noise.

Take advantage of the Prime deals and get yourself some noise-cancelling headphones. Even if you're not travelling anytime soon, these beauties will help cancel out the sounds of your partners snores in the middle of the night.

5. Bestek Voltage Converter
If you are travelling from the US, it is essential that you travel with a power converter. One of my travel rookie errors was going to a country that utilised a higher voltage and completely destroyed my straightener. Shortly after that incident, if I had electronics from the US, I always brought a converter. Make sure you save your electronics and get yourself a converter this Prime Day.

6. Lifestraw Personal Water Filter
If you're travelling with a chronic health condition or you just have the stomach of a drunk sailor, you'll want to take every precaution to avoid illness whilst travelling. I love that I can use Lifestraw when I don't have access to bottled water, when I'm hiking, or even during my Spartan races if I run out of water.

7. YETI Hopper TWO Portable Cooler
Not every travel adventure needs to be overseas. Sometimes the most exceptional experiences can be right in your own backyard. Hiking and camping is a major favourite of mine. Unfortunately, you don't always have the luxury of being close to a market. Make sure you have a big enough cooler to house all your beverages and some food!

8. Vaschy Casual Daypack
I despise lugging around a massive purse when I'm travelling. There are times having a nice little daypack is precisely what I need. Having a nice stylish daypack allows you the ability to prance around town (or the woods) without having to worry where to store drink bottles, keys, phones, or snacks.

9. Superga Women's 2750 Cotu Classic Sneaker
I am super guilty of going on holiday and not having the proper footwear. Heck, I'm that girl that spends an entire day at Disney in thongs. But my feet definitely do not appreciate it. Most of the time, I'm resistant to pack anything because I don't like the way they look. Fortunately, the sneakers are super cute and on sale are super affordable!

10. Ring Spotlight Security Camera
While this isn't exactly travel related, leaving your home for an extended period can be quite worrying. What happens if someone realises you left and breaks in? What if you ordered Amazon gifts and you're unsure if they arrived safely? Having a little bit of extra security will give you that extra peace of mind throughout your travels. No longer do you need to stress as you'll be able to see what's going on at your own front door.

And until next time...
